Product Description
SilGuard YK-1101 is a new silicone surfactant, non hydrolizable, which is particularly suited for the manufacture of low density polyether based polyurethane foam. SilGuard YK-1101 structure has been tuned to yield an excellent foaming and foam stability, even when extremely low foam densities are being targeted with high level of water or alternative blowing agents like CO2. Another benefit of SilGuard YK-1101 lies in its superior stability towards hydrolysis, making possible pre-blends with typical polyurethane ancillary chemicals like water and amines. Finally, it has been observed that the use of SilGuard YK-1101 results in reduced striation marks on the foam slab as well as good final foam breathability.
